So management is one of the most determining aspects in an organization. However, most organizations focus too much on communicating with external parties and achieving success that is visible from the outside but forgets to pay attention to the internal aspects of the organization. For this reason, in an organization the role of Public Relations (PR) is needed to build management loyalty. This research aims to determine the role of Public Relations in organizational culture to build management loyalty. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that four Public Relations roles are applied internally, namely expert prescriber, communication facilitator, problem-solving process facilitator, and communications technician. Evidence of management loyalty which is formed from the role of Public Relations implemented in the internal sphere can be seen from several management attitudes and actions which include obedience and conformity, responsibility, honesty, willingness to understand organizational difficulties, working more than required, creating pleasant atmosphere in the organization, and being open to change.
Lina Sinatra Wijaya, Christella Fenetta Copyright (c) 2024 Lina Sinatra Wijaya, Christella Fenetta https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://journal.lspr.ac.id/index.php/communicare/article/view/587 Mon, 09 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Sigma Male Portrayal in Fight Club Movie: Roland Barthes Semiotic Analysis https://journal.lspr.ac.id/index.php/communicare/article/view/676
Sigma Male ideology, a 'picture-perfect' hegemonic masculinity portrayal that has been criticized for promoting toxic masculinity and misogyny despite its rise in popularity. This model contributes to developing the practice of Government Public Relations so that it can carry out its function as the person in charge of the institution's communication system in supporting public services in the new media era. This model was developed through an effort to review the literature, which found that there are still gaps and unsynchronized between scientific perspectives, regulations, and public relations applications that raise issues of structure, role, purpose, and ethics. The Excellence Plus model offers a solution because it combines the universal dimensions of public relations practice and the local character of community communication. This model has the advantage of being workable because it is derived from the dominant theory in Public Relations and is universal in various types of organizations, with a way of application that adapts to the unique character of the organization. The challenge in applying this model is the great difficulty in changing perceptions about the PR function, synchronizing various government regulations, institutional restructuring related to nomenclature, and preparing human resources.

Keywords: communication; excellence plus; local character; new media; public relations
Rachmat Kriyantono; Reza Safitri Copyright (c) 2024 Rachmat Kriyantono; Reza Safitri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://journal.lspr.ac.id/index.php/communicare/article/view/712 Mon, 09 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Cultural Communication in Wayang Sada and Preservation of Local Values https://journal.lspr.ac.id/index.php/communicare/article/view/715
Wayang Sada, as a form of traditional Javanese performing arts, faces significant challenges in maintaining its relevance amid the growing tide of globalization.
